Pursuant to the Law No. 7226 Amending Certain Laws, which was published in the Official Gazette dated 26 March 2020, the following protective measures have been taken regarding judicial process in the Republic of Turkey.
1- (i) All durations with respect to creation, use and termination of a right, including durations applicable to bring an action, to initiate execution proceedings, to applications, complaints, objections, notices, submissions, deadlines and prescriptive periods,
(ii) durations determined in the Administrative Jurisdiction Procedures Law, the Penal Procedure Law, the Civil Procedure Law and other procedures law regarding the parties and durations determined by judges in this scope, and
(iii) duration with respect to mediation have been suspended until 30 April 2020.
2- Durations determined in the Execution and Bankruptcy Law and other related laws and durations determined by judges or bankruptcy and execution offices, all bankruptcy and execution proceedings, except for execution proceedings regarding child supports, transactions to initiate new execution and enforcement proceedings and to execute provisional attachments have been suspended until 30 April 2020.
The above mentioned durations will start to run on the day following the last day of the suspension period.
The President of the Republic is entitled to suspend once more the said durations for a maximum period of six months in the event of continuation of Covid-19 pandemic.
